random musings and milestones

so i did finally talk to her...it went well.  i was very subtle about everything, so i wasn't coming right out and saying "i don't like this stuff."  so now, no more tshirts, nothing from target, and she knows that i like michael's gift cards and that i shop in juniors still.  (it turns out we don't really have any of the same gas/grocery stuff here that they have in NJ...except maybe the shell station.  the rest is holiday, marathon, and little mom-and-pop places.  for food, we have pat's foods, festival foods, and econo, and of course walmart, but i refuse to shop there for food.)

it was a good conversation tho...we wound up talking about a whole lot about random stuff, so i know i haven't harmed our relationship at all.  i mentioned several times that i really do appreciate it (because i do...i probably didn't sound like it in my last post because i was kind of venting, but i do appreciate that she spends this money on me, and i really am grateful).  i love my MIL very much, but sometime i feel like she's literally trying to love me to death, lol.

so thanks again, ladies, for all your advice!  i took it all and used it, and managed to handle the situation with grace and tact, and MIL and i both are happier for it. :)
